I contacted Al & Gord’s Mobile Lock & Key this morning from the “write us” option in their Contact Us section on their website.

I received a text response within minutes. I provided the details of what my issue was and what I wanted done. I received a quote along with the ability to have same day service within an hour. I am older and disabled so I needed more time than that hour and asked for a stated later hour. The immediate response was no problem, Ryan would be at my home at 12 noon.

I needed access to my garage as my keys had been lost prior to me needing spine surgery 3 years ago and it had not been much of a priority, hence the lock had not been open for approximately 7 years and raccoons had been in the garage. Ryan got the door open but the lock was at least 24 years old (how long I have owned the house) cutting a new key was not an option on the new key blanks. I asked him to proceed with changing out the lock.

There was much strewn around from the raccoons and the garage was jam packed thanks to relatives. Ryan provided me information every step of the way and proceeded with the challenging conditions.

I spent the last week trying to find locksmiths in Oshawa that could make a copy of my car key for emergencies.

Both places I tried couldn’t bother picking up the phone, or didn’t have anyone on staff that could help and couldn’t provide me a time when they would have someone.

Had a fantastic experience with Gord and exceptional service.

I ordered a new key fob for my truck. He had one the next day and met me on my work site to program the key. There was a odd defect where the key wouldn’t respond with my truck shortly after programming.

I called Gord and he was apologetic. He offered all my money back right then and there or if I would want to try a second time (no cost to me). I needed the fob so I agreed to a 2nd try.

The new key came quickly and programmed on site again with no issues. I truly believe the first key could have been a manufacture defect. It’s been several days and the key works like factory. Great pricing was the icing on the cake and he stands behind his service. Yup  Google Reviews

Just amazing working with Gord and Ryan.

We just moved into a new home in Whitby, and we had multiple locks with different and/or missing keys. Our request was to get all of the locks replaced or rekeyed so we didn’t need to use multiple keys.

Ryan and Gord responded promptly and it was so easy to communicate with them (texting, calling), and they were so responsive! Ryan even worked with us to select the right type of lock that matched our decor, and showed us a few tips on making any changes in future.

Called Gord to see about getting mailbox lock replaced as we had lost the keys.

Wow! I phoned and asked about getting a key for a used filing cabinet and was quoted a price, including travel.

I’m 40 km from Al & Gord and the fee was over $120. The next thing they said blew me away: they very kindly told me the key blank code for the cabinet lock and referred me to a local locksmith, saving me at least $100.

Fantastic service! I called several places before deciding on Al & Gord’s services.

The other company’s I called had no interest in seeing photos of the door/locks in question and were unwilling to provide me with a professional quote and quite frankly were rude to speak to.

Although I didn’t end up needing a service call, they were very helpful and accommodating to answer my questions listened to my lock problem.

They diagnosed my issue over the phone and recommended I try a few things first, in which one of those suggestions actually worked!
